Glam Darling

Hey my fellow Fashionistas!

How are all you lovely ladies doing today? Hopefully your Monday has gotten off on a good start!

So my question for you ladies for this post is: What do you consider glamourous?

Seeing as though we all have different tastes and different styles..the answers to this question should be vastly different.

I made a little collage of things that make me feel glamourous just by looking at them!

Nude clothing to me is definitely glamourous. I don't know what it is about this like fleshy color that makes a woman look so damn chic!

And of course I had to add some pearls and sequins. Whenever I think of pearls I see Old Hollywood--which in my mind is the most glamourous of glams!

I envision the late Coco Chanel, Marilyn Monroe, and Audrey Hepburn.

Classic. Chic. Glamourous.

I added the sequin skirt because it reminds me of what I consider New Hollywood glam. It's all about the sparkle, the shimmer, and the glitz!

The teal clutch to me is too chic to pass up. The color may be bold, loud, and funky but the design of the clutch is fabulous. I can see it being paired with the nude dress that I also included in the collage.

And lastly, the fur coat!! FAUX FUR of course, but the same effect nonetheless. To me a faux coat or shrug just screams GLAM! No matter what you are wearing...just throw this bad boy over it and voila! instant glam.

Chicisimo

Hey my fellow Fashionistas!!

I recently stumbled upon a fashion site that reminds me of chictopia and lookbook. 

It's call Chicisimo and I am in LOVE!
It's basically the same concept as the other two sites, you upload photos of your daily outfits and the rest of the community can vote whether or not your outfit is chic or not!

I have to say that I am OBSESSED with posting on this site!

Just a quicky outfit post!

Not a lot of photos this time because it was raining outside so I had to take the pics inside and the lighting was HORRIBLE! haha

So yeah this outfit is very dear to me because it is something that I would never wear. But since I'm 20 now I wanted to step my creativity and individuality up! No more just trying to look like everyone else on the street...time to stand out and just be me, even if others don't like it.

After my recent shopping extravaganza in Albany, I realized that my wardrobe was lacking in a particular area and I actually didn't pick up anything during the trip in said area.

I have such a lackluster assortment of dresses, which is weird to me because I absolutely adore them,

SO I went onto Forever21 and found four really cute and different dresses that I'm enjoying very much!

A Little Prep in my Step

Although today was filled with classes and work like any other day, there was something different about it. Can you guess?

Well.....it was that certain nip in the air that indicated that summer is truly coming to an end.

BUT DO NOT DESPAIR!!!

You don't have to say goodbye to your skirts, short, or dresses just yet. The weather is still tolerable and you can just spice up your spring and summer pieces with tights!!

Pairing my shorts with tights and this tan blazer really gave my outfit that preppy "polished" feel, as well as the plaid Burberry scarf.

And these lovely strappy heels? They add a bit of fashion-forward pizazz!!

You've Been Spotted

Today was filled with my 9 am Earth Science class and then work at the Gallery for 3 long and dubious hours. I spent my time practicing for the speech that I must give in tomorrow's 8 am Public Speaking class, oh joy.

I wanted today's outfit to be casual comfy but still stylish, trendy, and chic. I'm wearing a lot of my new favorite flats in this post because I just couldn't resist the urge to finally wear them out!!

Fashion Trends: Fall 2011

Hey Loves!! How are you ladies doing today??

I'm just coming to you today with a quick fashion post on some more fall fashions.

You ladies know how much I LOVE FALL FASHION!!

Basically this post will be featuring what the runways and magazines have been showing as Fall 2011 trends.

All the items, except for two, displayed above are $50 and below! So not only will you be in style for this autumn season but your wallet will be full and happy :) The items that are not in that price range are what I like to call the WISH items. "I WISH I had enough money to buy that," or "Let me add this to my WISH list and maybe one day I can get it."

SO let's get into the "meat & potatoes" of this post. 

Metallics

Metallics have been trending in fall fashion for the past couple of seasons and I see no reason for it to stop. The colors of metal make anything look expensive ans the shine adds dimension and grabs attention.

Sequins

This is another trend that I believe will never go out of style. Sequins can amp up any dull or plain outfit and can be a really nice statement piece. I mean, what girl doesn't love sequins?!

And the great thing is you can easily mix this with the metallic trend....silver or gold sequins? UM HELLO..they're everywhere.

Tribal

Although tribal prints are normally popular during the sing and summertime, designers have decided to mix it up a bit and transition this wonderful trend into fall wear. You see it everywhere...on pants, tops, accesseries....this trend is really taking over!

Another print or pattern that is popping up this season is that of a slithery creature. Yes ladies, snakeskin is all the rage in this years fall accessories!

Black is a very dear friend of my. It love me and makes me look super chic, slim, and fashion savvy. I know that really bright colors have been all the rage these pass couple of months but black is where it is at for fall.

Peridot

Now Peridot is not really the name of a trend, it is the name of an item that I have heard about nonstop in the past month. Magazines have been featuring this new gem of a nail polish as have Youtube beauty gurus across the nation! It is Chanel's new Peridot nail polish and boy is it a beauty!!

Shoe CRAVE ~ My Fall Wish List!

Hey my loved ones!! Long time no chat!

But don't worry your girl is here to stay and play! You can guarantee it!

First order of business.......SHOES!

It's fall time ladies..well almost...and although I absolutely love the summertime, my heart truly lies with Autumn. The weather is more forgiven and less severe and the fashion is so fun and versatile. 

In Autumn it's all about layering and that creates an endless combination of ideas and outfits for a girl like me (and obviously fashion savvy girls like you!) to choose from. But the cherry on top of this delicious fashion sundae is the shoes choices in the fall time.

BOOTS. BOOTS. BOOTS. How i love thee boots! The various lengths, ankle, knee high, over-the-knee...and all those in between. Oh how I have missed you. Wedges and sandals, no need to say goodbye now that the weather has shifted. All I need to do is add some cute tights or socks and BAM!! instant chic! Well anyway, enough of my crazy shoe babble...on with my picks for this fall, featuring the site ZiGiny.com

Once again all of these shoes came from ZiGiny.com and as you can see they are all so amazing and gorgeous shoes that I would definitely love to have for fall. Unfortunately these shoes are a bit on the pricey side....too pricey for a college student like me haha! But I do plan on treating myself to the scarlet flats that I adore so much because they are ONLY $49.95!!!! Gotta Love 'em, Gotta Get 'em!
